The Voice

So, it appears that Harper found her voice this weekend and has been chatting it up all day! She definitely wants to be heard. I took a few short videos of her.

4 Month Checkup

She of course got shots today and the nurse coordinated the band aids on each leg with her outfit. That was not really on purpose, just luck.

Stats:

Length: 24 3/4 inches ~ 50-75 percentile
Weight: 11 lbs. 15 oz. (my little peanut!) ~ 10-20 percentile
HC: 39 1/4 cm ~ 10-25 percentile

Big Girl

My little girl sat in her highchair last night for the first time and tried some baby food and rice cereal. I started her off with some green beans, which she didn't really know what to think of that, but kept eating it. Then, I gave her a couple teaspoons of rice cereal and she ate the whole thing. She opened her mouth ready for the food. What a natural! We also had a terrible storm last night and surprisingly the kids didn't wake up. Harper slept right through it!

Happy Father's Day!

Today we celebrated a great Dad. Mason and Harper both make some artwork for Daddy at school. Ben went to a Father's Day party at the school on Friday afternoon. This morning I got up and got some coffee for us, made a special little new recipe for breakfast. The pic below was mine (very tasty!) and I made a scrambled egg version for Ben. We took Mason to the pool after breakfast to show off his new swim moves he learned at school. He did a great job and had a blast with Dad in the water. Harper and I watched from the sidelines. It was another scorcher today.....105 degrees! Afterwards, Ben and Mason went to get haircuts and the girls went to the store to buy some items to make a fabulous chocolate cake for dessert tonight. Apparently, Dad and Mason gave a thumbs up! I got the recipe from Master Chef Australia. Mason and Harper sported their special shirts in honor of Father's Day. It was a great day!
