1st time out :(

Today was the day, it finally arrived. Mason has been a little distant with Grandma and Aunt Renee acting a little fresh, but today he was being especially irritable around lunchtime and Daddy wasn't having it! He finally put him in time out and I watched from the sidelines. He sat him down on the stair landing (2nd step) and he just sat there for a few minutes until he composed himself. I couldn't bare to look at him through the railing (torture to see him so sad) but he kept an eye on me waiting for me to get up and rescue him, but I did not. The next day Daddy had to put him in time out twice and so it begins....

Merry Christmas!

This was Mason's 2nd Christmas and I think he is getting the hang of this. He did very well at opening his presents. Grandma and Aunt Renee stayed with us and were here that morning as well as Michele, Eric, and Emma who came later that morning. Here are some pics from our day.

Super Guy!

Mason got to wear his new Superman t-shirt to bed tonight. He looked so adorable I had to take pics. And, I also bought him the Batman shirt too!

Finger Painting

Today Mason got to do a special activity with Daddy.....finger painting! This was his first time and I think it turned out really nice. Daddy even took some pics for me when I got home. :)

Here is the finished product! Isn't it beautiful!?!

Blizzard of '09

We had a massive snowfall yesterday. By the time it was all said and done, we have approx. 2 ft of snow. Everyone was shocked! Who actually believes the weather guy??? There was so much snow on Sat. we couldn't do anything. Mason enjoyed watching the snow fall, but it would have been up to his neck! Molli did not enjoy the snow this time because she could not walk in it. The snow got up to her neck as well. Today it was a beautiful (freezing cold) sunny snow day. It will takes weeks to melt the 6ft mounds in our neighborhood. Since it was nice out, we took Mason to check out the snow while Daddy shoveled and made some room to walk in the driveway . Here are some pics.

My little guy is getting so big. He is saying phrases and remembers things, repeats them, and keeps asking for things. You say one word and now he just repeats it. He is learning at a rapid pace now and it's hard to keep up with tracking his every little move. Oh, did I mention he is finally saying "yes" to things instead of no for everything.
