Cereal with Milk

Mason finally tried cereal with milk. He looks so grown up! Along with trying new things, here are a list of things that Mason is into this month along with some stats:

He is 29 lbs and growing like a weed! He's definitely too heavy to carry.
Size 7 1/2 shoe
He has very good manners
His favorite color is blue!
He is talking very well
Eating better
He calls me Mom instead of Mommy and Dad instead of Daddy. Has he grown up that quickly already?
He absolutely loves wearing his winter fleece buzz lightyear pj's he got for Christmas last year from Grandma
He holds a pen like an adult already
He loves art
Oh, and he likes to pick out his own clothes. Only problem is that they never match

Barton Springs Pool

Today we headed over to Barton Springs Pool for a swim. It's pretty hot here so the activities usually were geared towards swimming. Mason had a blast! He started off in the shallow end with his floatie. He likes to play it safe.

Farmer's Market

We decided to head to the Farmer's Market downtown. It's quite the event every weekend here in Austin. Here are a few pics from our trip, courtesy of my FIL. It was already pretty hot when we arrived around 9am in the morning so our first stop was a frozen treat to cool off. While we were taking a break, Mason looked up and saw a huge crane which he was fascinated with. Once we left the Farmer's Market we headed over to the Austin Children's Museum a few blocks away. We were all very happy because it was air conditioned! Mason spent most of his time behind the store counter serving up play food. Afterwards, we worked up a real appetite (well, everyone except me) and headed over to the Green Mesquite for some real TX BBQ! Time to head home. Quite a busy day!

Summer Visit from Tucson

We had a nice visit from Papa, Nani, Aunt Mauren, and cousin Isaac this week! Mason was very excited to see them and have some new playmates. For our first outing we decided to head up to Lake Travis for some swimming. With Mason's Toy Story swim vest on, he was ready for his first lake swim. He even was practicing jumping off the rock ledge.

My little star

This is what he made in school today......sunglasses and beach hat. :) Perhaps he likes them because they shield the flash of my camera.

Blowing Bubbles

This was Mason's first attempt at blowing bubbles. He didn't do too bad. :) I think he tasted more soap than he should have. LOL!

Big Brother

Well, I think his shirt says it all! Mason is going to be a big brother! When asked what he wants, he responds "a baby sister" so we shall have to wait and see! I used this shirt to share the news with family!

4th of July

This year was a very low key 4th of July at the Scott house. However, there was always time for a few pics to remember the day with our family tradition of matching Old Navy tees.
