Growing up way too fast

So my just turned 5 month old acts like she is 9 months old! She is growing up way too fast! Here she is getting on her knees ready to crawl, except, she is too young! LOL! I think she just might walk early just like Mason did. I'm in trouble! She may look just like Daddy, but inside she is all Mommy! She is attached to me right now, but I know soon enough she will be Daddy's little girl!

She tries to hold the bottle herself. She is already very independent. She is very vocal when she wants your attention, she reaches and grabs for things with such determination and she puts everything in her mouth. Can't leave her alone for a minute otherwise she would have rolled all the way to the other side of the room.

Poor baby had a virus and a temp since Thursday. Bad virus it turned out to be. On Thurs. she weighed in at 13 lbs, 13 oz and Friday when we went back for our follow up, she weighed 13 lbs, 11 oz. She threw up an hour before our visit so that explains it. I also took Mason to the Dr. at the same time because he had a runny nose and his usual horrible cough. He weighed 33 lbs.

Look, no help!

Today was the end of a swim session and Mason so proudly showed Daddy how he can swim "on his own" with only the noodle. What a cutie!

Mason is doing great in the water now! He was practicing blowing bubbles and putting his face underwater!

Baby kisses

Mason's new spaceship

Mason decided that the car seat made a cool space ship. He barely fits in there, but he had fun trying. He is doing so great at swim lessons. He can swim by himself now on the noodle. So proud of him! I just wish he would let me take more pics of him! He is so darn cute!

He is signed up to play soccer this Fall at the Y and I can't wait! What a big boy he is getting to be.

Crib time

So, today is the first time Harper slept in her crib in her own room. I think she will like it in there just fine. She has a nice window view. It's 8pm and it's still light outside. :) This past week we tried to give her oatmeal since she hated the rice cereal. It was a success! I also put her on the scale here at home and since her 4 month check up, our scale says she gained two pounds. That means she may be up to 14 lbs now!

Roly Poly

Our little girl is officially a pro at rolling over......back to front and front to back. She has a technique where she puts her butt up in the air and falls to the side.

Iron Man

Mason just got a new iron man costume and is loving it doing all of Tony Stark's moves.

Having fun

My little princess has discovered her feet and tries to put them in her mouth! It's so funny. Her favorite baby food by far is sweet potatoes. We are working on other veggies, but she's not so convinced. She doesn't like rice cereal at all! She has also learned to put the paci in her mouth all by herself when we put it in her hand. Sometimes it's backwards, but she'll keep trying. :)

Mason went to see his first movie with Daddy on July 3rd. He saw Cars 2 and he liked it! He even ate popcorn and loved it!

Harper to Mason: "Are you listening to me?"
