Vacation 7/18-7/27

This past week my Grandma and Aunt Renee came to VA to visit for vacation. They spent the first few days with me at my house then went to my cousin Emmie's for the 2nd half of the week. Here is me and Grandma just hanging out spending some quality time together. Grandma and Aunt Renee watched me for a few days while Mom and Dad went to work. I had a good time with them. Mom took some videos this past week, so stay tuned! Dad will post them shortly.

This past week while Grandma and Aunt Renee were here I had a couple of new moments that my Mom noted. I sat up on my own for the first time on Tuesday evening in my bedroom. Everyone was so proud of me. I'm still learning to keep my balance, but I'm doing it all on my own! Oh, so mom is not too happy with this one, but a couple of times this past week I was making bubbles and spitting. It's probably cause I'm learning to talk making new sounds with my mouth. I have a lot of work ahead of me. :)
Here I am playing in Emmie's new Exersaucer and I love it. This stuffed orange kitty (who looks like Muffin) was also wonderful for the gums. I enjoyed chewing on it and left it a little slobbery. I hope Emmie doesn't mind. I'm a baby...I can't help but slobber!

Here are the ladies posing for a pic together.
Here is my aunt Renee. She always makes me laugh. She evens keeps me smiling when I am cranky.
So Grandma and Aunt Renee left this morning to go back home. As you can see I am sad....ok I am a little tired too. I can't wait to meet my Great Grandmother and the rest of the family when we visit in a couple of weeks.

Bandaged Paw

Molli's dew claw was split and she had to see the vet and they wrapped her paw up with an anti-bacterial bandage which has to stay on for 5 days. Our poor little girl. She was a trooper, but occasionally tried to chew it off when we weren't looking.

"Spike" Lee

Check out my new hairdo! Mom thought it was cute. One quick rinse and it went away. At least we captured the moment.

Exersaucer Fun

Do I look like I should be driving a train?

This thing looks interesting. I wonder how this tastes.

It's taunting me!

I'll teach you a thing or two. How about I eat you elephant.

Yes, now I have you. HA!

Ok, so that didn't taste too yummy, but it was still fun!

Cousin Time

My cousin Emmie came over to visit Grandma and aunt Renee. We took a few moments to hang out on the front lawn for some pictures. Later that evening in the living room we were watching TV and I just blurted out "da da." Daddy was very excited. I've also been feeling around my gums with my tongue. They just started to bother me. I wonder if I will get my first tooth soon! I'll keep you posted on my progress!

Foot in mouth

Well, Mason has finally figured out that he can put his foot in his mouth. Here is the proof and he is very proud of himself. The first time he did this was yesterday, but I was unable to capture it on camera. He also has discovered that it is a great time to rollover on his changing table. Well, that is not fun for mom and dad.

July 4th Weekend

It was a relaxing weekend and the weather didn't hold out so well this evening for my first 4th of July. However we had a nice time at my cousin Emmie's house. Uncle Eric BBQ'd and we just hung out. Emmie and I are wearing matching boy and girl onesie's that say "Born in 2008" with fireworks! Emmie's friend Halliday came over too. By the time we all were lined up on the couch it was nearing bedtime so mom didn't get a great pic. Sometimes us babies just don't feel like cooperating. We can only take so many flashes. We didn't wait for the fireworks, although it looked like it was going to be a good show. I was getting tired and mom didn't want me to get off my regular schedule. Probably smart. :) Happy 4th of July everyone!
