Mason had his first boo boo this morning. :( He fell and face planted into the ottoman and busted his bottom lip open. Poor baby, he had a fat lip all day and it was red. He recovered pretty quickly, however, I did not. I don't think I am ready for him to grow up yet and be a little boy that skins his knees and gets bruises. He needs a bubble!

Mason's First Thanksgiving
We had our first Thanksgiving with Mason at the Panczyszyn's. They made the turkey and stuffing while we brought over the sides and dessert (mashed potatoes, green beans, homemade dinner rolls, cranberries, sweet potatoes - for the kids!, gravy, apple pie, and pumpkin cheesecake).

Standing Tall and some other new things...
Friday night while I was running an errand Ben told me that he heard Mason crying after he put him to bed. When he went to check on him he saw Mason standing up in his crib for the 1st time. Now it's every time! Look out because now he is officially mastered his skill and we will need to watch him like a hawk! On another note, Mason's two top front teeth are starting to come out more from the gums. I am trying to imagine what he will look like with the new teeth. I will try and capture a smile and post here once they are fully in. He is changing so quickly. Every day he tries something new and it's fascinating to watch him discover himself and what he likes and dislikes. This weekend he has learned to hold his own bottle so now in the morning and evenings he feeds himself, it's the greatest!

New Milestones
Today brought some new milestones for Mason! He is doing so well at grabbing at anything in his reach and pulling himself up to stand. We are so proud of him! Also, to my surprise this evening, we were in Mason's room getting ready for his bath and I heard a noise.....like a clanking or chomping from his mouth. I turned to look at him and I heard it coming directly from his mouth. Yep, you guessed it......his two top teeth have arrived! He didn't even show any signs that they were coming! They are not fully out yet, but they broke through the gums and it was enough for him to chomp his teeth together to make a sound. I was so excited! Now he can eat some new foods and perhaps chew it a little better than before. :) Tonight we gave him some pasta so he can start feeding himself more. Oh, and he did go back to the Dr. today to get his 2nd flu shot. So far so good!

Mason's 1st Haircut!

Well, today was the day that Mason got his first haircut. After his bath this evening at 7:25pm I snipped off the tail and the wings! He looks even more handsome now with his new do! Of course I saved his hair and put it away in his keepsake box. Now he is ready for his close-up this weekend when we go take our family pictures.

My fun weekend!
SATURDAY-This weekend was a lot of fun. I spent time with Mom & Dad playing outside in the leaves again on Saturday. I have to tell you, I am really getting good at this walking thing. I've been told I resemble Frankenstein when I walk, but give me a break......I'm still new at this. Let's see......I have been eating lots of new things like ravioli's, goldfish, and real sweet potatoes and carrots! I just wish I had more teeth so I can move on to bigger and better things! Mom says it's getting close to getting a haircut...I'm starting to grow wings. So I am starting to notice there are plenty of interesting things on the floor level. I like to open any drawers and touch things like wires and electronics. Every time I touch something I am not suppose to, Mom & Dad make some weird sound and say "NO!." I test the waters. On about the 3rd try I know they mean business and I stop.
SUNDAY -Today we invited The Panczyszyn's to come over for dinner. Emmie & I played outside for awhile so Mom could take some Fall pics of us together. Then we ate a yummy dinner and played with my Lego's. Emmie is very good at sharing. I'm very excited about next weekend. Emmie and I are getting our "cousins" professional photo taken.

Leaves are falling
This afternoon we decided to spend some time outside since the weather actually seemed like it was Fall for a change. There were plenty of leaves in our front yard so of course I decided to have another photo session with Mason! He is such a cute subject to shoot and today was no exception! Fall is my favorite time of the year and you can see why......here are just a few of my favorites from today.
Mason continues to surprise and amaze me. Every day I see him do and say new things. I'm afraid now that I will miss something so my camera is always ready. Today before bed he was doing his nightly routine of practicing his walking and he did something new. This time he was clapping and walking at the same time! And very well I might add! Also, he now claps when you say clap and do the motion. Before he may or may not have done it. He picked that one up fast. We are still working on "say ma-ma" and Mom would like for me to hold my own bottle since I do hold my own sippy cup. I'll keep you posted on those developments. It might also be time for a haircut soon. My sweet little boy......I can never take enough pictures of him to capture every single moment. I just don't want to forget it......and neither will he thanks to digital photography. :)
