Happy Halloween!

This year Halloween couldn't get here fast enough for Mason. He was so excited to go trick-or-treating. The weather was perfect too. This was Harper's 1st Halloween and she went along with it cool as a cucumber. She wasn't too happy when I put on her costume, but once we were out strolling she did great. They both looked adorable! We headed over to our old street where we met up with the Votaw's and Carpenter's. Around 8pm it really started to look like a block party. Harper is now 8 months old and eating like an adult. She has eaten all meats and everything under the sun at daycare. Even with only two teeth, she is able to gum it and get it down. I hope she keeps it up.

Pajama Day

Today was pajama day at the kid's school and when we got home Harper was ready for bed! She fell asleep on the floor and took a nap. She definitely is the littlest pumpkin in the patch! Mason wore his super cool Batman PJ's with a cape!

Sunday Swing

We stopped at the park this evening so the kids could play. Mason loves the swing now and likes to go really high but he still has to learn how to keep the momentum going on his own by swinging his feet. Harper was in the baby swing next to him. This was her first time in the swing and she liked it! And yes, those are leg warmers ~ circa 1985! She's rockin' them.

We went to the grocery store afterwards. This was Harper's first time in the driver's seat with Mason. They were so cute together.

Fall Festival

The YMCA had a Fall Festival so we decided to go check it out. Mason got to ride a horse, jump on the bounce and enjoy a very blue snow cone. He was over taking pics at this point hence he was missing from our first photo. We left and ate dinner at our favorite surf and turf place. Here is the pic from the carving of our pumpkins earlier in the day. Mason's is on the left and the Stormtrooper is Daddy's.

Mason was watching someone go across a zip line. He was very intrigued.

Pumpkin Patch

We went to Sweet Berry Farms again and the weather was great. The kids got to play on the mini tractor, pick out pumpkins, and sit next to each other so Mom could take pics. :) Mason painted his own pumpkin which turned out to be a smiley face then some more paint globbed on.

Mama

Harper is very quick to learn things and her 2nd word is no exception! I was saying mama to her the past few days and wala! She says it back to me. If I would have known, I would have taught her this before she mumbled dada. :)

BBQ

Yesterday, Big BBQ and litttle BBQ went on an adventure. You can see how it went here: Texas BBQ Adventures with Little BBQ

Mason is coming along very nicely with his writing. He is practicing his numbers and letters and he can write his name!

Botanical Garden Downtown

We took a nice trip downtown today with Papa to see the sights, specifically at the Botanical Gardens. Afterwards, we stopped by a field so Mason could play some soccer. He showed off his moves while the ladies watched with a beautiful backdrop of downtown. We worked up an appetite by now so we headed downtown to a place called the Texas Chili Parlor.

Someone looks thirsty. No No Harper, you aren't old enough for that drink.
