Toddler Rules

Since Mason is now an official Toddler, he wanted to show off the rules. Although he is not a "it's mine" kinda kid, he still looks cute in his shirt. :)

Lastly, just laugh A LOT!

So, tonight Daddy was able to successfully remove the leftover splinter in Mason's left foot. I am so relieved it's out. I was concerned it would get infected. Now his little foot can just heal now. And, last night at dinner Mason tried some of Daddy's salmon and he loved it to my surprise. Who would have thought he likes fish!
2/21 - Trying on Daddy's shoes. He actually took a step in them before falling down.

This week

This past week has been so much fun with Mason! Since he's been sick last week, he wasn't able to drink out of his bottle in the morning and evenings because he couldn't breathe. So, now he is completely off the bottle! Wasn't that easy!? On Monday, I was giving Mason his bath and found he had a huge splinter on the bottom of his left foot. Daddy had to take it out with some tweezers and Mason did not like it. He cried, but it had to be taken out. I put a little band-aid on it.

Last night I was saying hi to Mason and he said hi back! I love hearing him say new words. Also, that evening he played around with Daddy's hat and looked adorable in it! Check him out wearing his new bib! :)

Here is Mason wearing Daddy's hat.
30 seconds later here he is crying because he wanted it off.
Here is a pic of Mason's 4 top teeth! He just got the one on the left last Sunday!
Here is Mason climbing all over Molli. He prefers this method rather than walking around her to get to his toys.
This bib was a present from the Panczyszyn's. He is starting young!
Daddy likes it too!
Here is Mason helping us unload the dishwasher. How nice of him.

Look out, there's a new Emmitt Smith in town. This has RB written all over it.
We have a ghost in our house. Isn't he cute?

Valentine's Day

I celebrated Valentine's Day with my boys. Mason is still recovering from being sick and Ben is now sick, but nevertheless, we had a good day. This morning Mason and Ben gave me my Valentine cards. As you can see here, Mason and I are sharing a heart cookie. He got his finger in the icing when he grabbed it from my hand about 2 seconds after this picture was taken. :) It wasn't as warm as I thought it was going to be today, but we still went out to the park and dinner at Reston Town Center. Mason took a very long nap today, which was great. I was able to make red velvet cupcakes and visit my friend Mary in the hospital to see her new son Cole. He is adorable!

Mason is looking at the card we gave him.
The swings always make Mason smile.
Even Molli & Poose share the love today. Right after this picture was taken Molli gave Poose a love bite right on the neck. Then she chased him out of the room.

Sniffle, Sniffle...Under the weather

Well, last Saturday (7th) Mason showed signs of a cold, but we soon found out it was much worse. This was the beginning of some kind of virus we think. This is my baby's first real illness. Along with being sick, which really kicked in on Sunday, he was getting his 6th tooth (top left next to the front tooth). We loaded him up with Motrin to ensure a fever wouldn't spike and wiped his nose about every 3 minutes. He felt warm to the touch, but never had a fever. We kept him home from daycare on Monday and Tuesday. And on Wednesday, he was getting slightly better. When I say "slightly" I mean not much, but not worse so we decided not to take him to the Dr. He's been really tired this week and a little irritable, but he was still eating, another good sign. I hate seeing him sick. My cute little guy still found time to play with his toys and watch Sesame Street.

Definitely not feeling well. You can see it on his little face.
Somebody needs a nap. Mason is wiped out.

Playdate at Josh's House

On Sunday, I took Mason over to see Stacy and Josh. It was a nice warm day for February so we played outside. They had a blast and played so nicely together.

After we got home, Mason was tired and took a 2 hour nap! That's a record for the weekends. Afterwards, he played with his toys the rest of the afternoon.
He sees one of his toys under the TV stand and is trying to figure out how to get it out.

This weekend

This weekend Mason has been exhibiting new behaviors he has learned such as pointing his finger at something he wants and then babbling for it, hi-fiving daddy every time Ben says "hi-five", he loves to throw his toys either across the room or over the baby gate and thinks it's great, testing us when he throws things across the room to see how many times we will pick them up (we caught on to that one early), he likes to pick up his brush and brush his hair, and finally, Mason has started to dance when he hears music from commercials on the TV, it's adorable!
